Dinner was green curry from "Thai Wi-Rat". Pretty good place, have been there heaps, gets an 88 on urban spoon. I'd probably not be that generous but it's relatively cheap and consistent.

breakfast past two days has been avocado on toast

dinner past two nights has been seaweed burgers

lunch today? thinking about a banh mi, but might be convinced to grab a casual piece of sushi or two instead (sadly sushi options around work are NOT good).

the burgers are a recipe from wd-50's wylie dufresne. they take hours to put together but are very, very delicious.

average banh mi is available at the bakery next to tuckeria in the valley. you can also get them at some place in west end, rowes arcade in the city and at qut kelvin grove. you gotta go to darra to get the best stuff though.

I'm excited about the prospect of experiencing Brisbane banh mi. Tried to make one myself when I got back from Vietnam. The biggest food fail to date.

don't get too excited. they're usually around $6 unless you go to darra or inala and nothing special. but average banh mi is better than no banh mi.

I would never try to make it.

I'm aware. but I stand by it.

lunch was rice paper rolls from said fortitude valley bakery. average, overpriced, still not bad (and a lot better than the stinking valley mall sushi hellhole).

washing it down with a diet coke because I'm really starting to get back into soft drinks and a man of my current weight just can't be doing toying around with the heavy stuff.

- Dinner was cooked in a kitchen that looked like a scene out of Trainspotting feat two lamb cutlets doused in leftover cab sav and served with beans and a potato from the seven eleven at the top of the valley mall. Followed up with a couple of ciggies.

Weren't too bad.

Breakfast was nothing.

Lunch will be Guzman Y Gomex burrito (steak I reckon) purchased w/ the "Gomex" points I have accrued over the past few months. Pretty lucky as I cannot pay for lunch with actual cash this week.

- Dinner was a big olde steak and some potatoes. I ate some olives too. I've been finding more and more lately that I'm kind of not so much cooking meals as just grabbing a few things and eating them like snacks or something. I like it.

- Breakfast was some yoghurt and trail mix.
