call me a traditional but I'm gunna keep signing regardless of the ffs sighs from the people behind me.

when I'm at a restaurant and I put something on the card, I just wanna plonk that bad boy on the bill and sign without having to get out of my table.

When the waitress brings my bill in a leather folder, with an Amex logo and the bill on the inside with a larger-than-purposeful silver clip and I plonk my Amex down and firmly shut it with a snap thus giving the waitress notice I am done reading and I am due to pay and sign away.

Nothing Better.

pretty sure if it's a new card with a chip some places will need the pin depending on their machine. not talking about fast food deliveries..I feel banks are trying to phase out the farce that is signing for things.

hmm. I have a card with a chip but I dont have a pin on my credit card.

chips have been around for ages.

fairly positive newly issued cards can be set up to only use a pin, although it really depends on the bank and the machine. as I said though mobile food delivery places aren't going to have a proper machine because that won't work...

credit card users are slow to adapt to PIN, and wouldn't really want to because signing for things on credit is a status thing, and of course some banks also probably realize that these customers and their antiquated way of thinking about money means more money for them, so they wouldn't force the issue. it's just an option.

but you can see that at one side of the scale American Express (no option for a PIN whatsoever, you don't even press a button) is for the bourgeoisie delusional cad shell of a man Holden Senator market. Rodger just signed up for this a few posts back...

but the point I was making is that someone somewhere at some of the other banks is thinking 'well this is just dumb' because it's 2010 and anyone can still order up big on Larry Manrail's lost credit card quite easily, and they realise their own customers mainly just care about security and only have a credit card because of loyalty points/their home loan line of credit etc

sometimes at my old work customers were surprised that I could process things with a signature when they'd specified with their bank for it to only accept PIN - it was just our machine though because it wasn't updated to do that.

hahahaha

Dinner on Friday was nothing (I think), breakfast Saturday was an enormous fry-up with monsieur tarpless, dinner today might be stir-fry but probably won't be because I can't be arsed. Good on ya.

Nup made the stir-fry. Very good stuff but, on a less positive note, probably a little overcooked vegetable-wise.

Calling me out in this fashion is not the way men win wars Dave and neither is buying battle garments from Ebay.

I'm coming to the end of a self imposed 'pescatarian working week' but I've still got a lunch and a dinner to get through. Vegetarian + fish is bullshit. Fish is meat. It's meat.

For the last 3 days I've had:

2 banans
1 tuna, avocado, cheese and tomato relish sour-loaf baguette (made in park on lap in shame as usual)
1 piece of quiche w/ salad

And I'm really starting to that that those poofs are on to something, Condon.
